Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between PePe Hapitchou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Camatta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hapitchou comes to the cage accompanied by Blackalicious - Sky is falling. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, PePe Hapitchou!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Camatta!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Camatta moves forwards but Hapitchou connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hapitchou steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Camatta.
Hapitchou pivots, looking for a leg kick but Camatta is out of range and Hapitchou settles back down.
Camatta scores with a body shot.
A decent looking cross lands there for Camatta.
Hapitchou attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
A jab from Camatta misses.
Camatta throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hapitchou sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Camatta throws a push kick but Hapitchou slaps the foot to one side.
We've been told by Hapitchou's head coaches at Breakdown Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hapitchou looks to land a right hand but Camatta moved out of range.
Hapitchou tests Camatta's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hapitchou motions for Camatta to come forward. Hapitchou throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Camatta misses with a low kick.
Camatta defending well as Hapitchou loads up on a big left hand.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hapitchou is trying to maintain the position but Camatta is very close to passing his half guard.
Camatta perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Camatta has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at DJs Locker. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Let's hope that Camatta has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Hapitchou is trying to get back to full guard.

Camatta looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Camatta looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Hapitchou is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Camatta throws a big elbow that misses.
Camatta controls from within his opponent's guard.

Hapitchou looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Camatta slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
It looks like Camatta might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Camatta loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Hapitchou throws a solid leg kick but Camatta takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hapitchou.

Camatta takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Antonio Camatta has been cut.
Hapitchou throws a right and a left that Camatta avoids nicely.
Antonio Camatta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

That was a close round but I would say that PePe Hapitchou will probably get the nod.

enabling Hapitchou to counter with a crisp jab.
Camatta avoids a punch combination nicely.
A solid leg kick lands there for Camatta.

Hapitchou tests Camatta's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Camatta throws a low kick but Hapitchou moves out of range easily.
Hapitchou jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Camatta lands with a nice body kick.
Hapitchou throws a looping overhand right but Camatta ducks down to avoid it.
Hapitchou drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Camatta lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Camatta thuds his right hand into Hapitchou's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Camatta shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hapitchou as he avoids it easily.
Camatta turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
PePe Hapitchou is winning the standup battle so far.
Camatta fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hapitchou.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hapitchou.

Hapitchou has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Camatta.

PePe Hapitchou has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Camatta.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Camatta shoots in for a takedown but Hapitchou shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hapitchou throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Camatta stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

It looked like Hapitchou was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Camatta.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hapitchou scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Hapitchou drops his hands momentarily and Camatta takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to PePe Hapitchou.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hapitchou, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
