Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Very Rounded (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Alberto Spinetta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luis Alberto Spinetta is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Very Rounded!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luis Alberto Spinetta!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rounded changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spinetta tries to avoid it but Rounded manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spinetta to the ground. Spinetta escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rounded tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rounded shoots and misses

and Spinetta moves into the clinch.
Rounded is trying to pull guard but Spinetta turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Very Rounded. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Spinetta not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rounded wants to sweep here but Spinetta controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rounded looking to hit a scissor sweep but Spinetta is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Spinetta jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rounded walks away with a smile on his face. Spinetta gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Spinetta shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rounded defends it nicely.
Rounded tries to counter with a takedown but Spinetta is quick to defend against it.

Spinetta drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Spinetta prevents Rounded from escaping the position.

Rounded regains half guard.
Spinetta thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Rounded is trying to stand up here but Spinetta is controlling him well.
Rounded moves into full guard.
Spinetta is looking to work some ground and pound but Rounded has wrist control.
Spinetta makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Spinetta slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rounded is on top in guard.

Rounded is breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Spinetta is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looked like Rounded was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Spinetta got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rounded has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spinetta has managed to get both his arms back between Rounded's legs - danger averted.

Spinetta is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rounded wants to stand and escape but Spinetta is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Spinetta stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rounded swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rounded is on top in guard.

Rounded takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rounded slaps away a takedown attempt from Spinetta, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rounded tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Spinetta defends well and Rounded ends up having to push Spinetta into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Spinetta tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well Spinetta has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
