Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dee Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Mcmahon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dee Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shane Mcmahon!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Waters gets caught napping as Mcmahon dives in and scores a takedown. Waters manages to retain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcmahon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Mcmahon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Waters tries to sprawl but Mcmahon drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Mcmahon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Waters has managed to free his arm - good work.

Mcmahon is controlling the pace.

Mcmahon decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Mcmahon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Waters can't do much from the bottom here.

Mcmahon sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Waters is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Mcmahon is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Waters knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Waters for a finish.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Waters tries to roll but Mcmahon sticks to his back.

Waters defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mcmahon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mcmahon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Waters to the ground. Mcmahon is now in Waters's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mcmahon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mcmahon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mcmahon wants to pass the guard but Waters is keeping the position.
Mcmahon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

As Mcmahon backs away, Waters returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Mcmahon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Waters has one foot on Mcmahon's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Mcmahon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Waters was covering up waiting for the punch and Mcmahon finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Mcmahon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Waters, up you get!

Shane Mcmahon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Mcmahon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Waters on his heels. He'll look to pass Waters's guard now, I'm sure.
Mcmahon is looking to pass into half guard but Waters pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Waters is in guard.

Mcmahon has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Mcmahon manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Mcmahon is looking to break free of the clinch but Waters has double underhooks.
Waters tries to stall but Mcmahon uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Mcmahon gets control of Waters's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mcmahon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Waters postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Mcmahon has his foot on Waters's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Waters works his way back into a safe position though.

Mcmahon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mcmahon pulls Waters in close to prevent any damage.
Waters is looking to work some ground and pound but Mcmahon has wrist control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mcmahon pushes Waters off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Mcmahon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Waters to the ground. Mcmahon is now in Waters's guard.
Mcmahon wants to stand but Waters is controlling his posture from full guard.
Waters keeping moving, preventing Mcmahon from controlling successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Shane Mcmahon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mcmahon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
