The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vatanen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

As Vatanen tries to get set, Groenveld tries to push him back and clinch up but Vatanen manages to avoid the attempt.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Vatanen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Vatanen is struggling to control the position.

Vatanen swings wildly with an uppercut but Groenveld uses good head movement to avoid it.
Vatanen lands a body shot.

Vatanen drops Groenveld with a big knee straight up the middle! Groenveld is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Groenveld is rocked!
It looks like Stefan Groenveld has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Groenveld is holding his hands too far apart here. Vatanen throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Groenveld is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sami Vatanen!
