Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Daniel Ryan and Andrey Eremeev. Ryan comes to the cage accompanied by I'd Love to Knock the Hell out of You by Hank Williams, Jr. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Daniel Ryan! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Andrey Eremeev!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Ryan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Eremeev is fending him off so far but Ryan persists. Nope, Eremeev circles away and we're back to standing.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Eremeev.

Ryan is looking for a sweep.
We've been hearing good reports from Ryan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Eremeev is looking to take a break and control but Ryan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Eremeev is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Eremeev works to advance to full mount. Ryan defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Eremeev wants to take Ryan's back but he can't do it this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ryan is squirming around, avoiding Eremeev's attempts to control the action.
Eremeev fails to advance to Ryan's back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eremeev can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ryan is looking to escape.
Ryan is looking to get to half guard.
Ryan is working hard here to advance position.
Eremeev seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Ryan is holding on tight.

Eremeev is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ryan is surviving well by controlling Eremeev's body position as best he can.
Ryan sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ryan tries to get to full guard but Eremeev has control of the leg.

Eremeev tries to pass to full mount but Ryan defends it.

Eremeev is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Eremeev has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at St Petersburg MMA Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Ryan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Eremeev wants to pass the guard but Ryan is keeping the position.
Eremeev keeps trying to improve his position.

Eremeev prevents Ryan from improving his position.

Eremeev is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Eremeev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Eremeev tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ryan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Ryan is trying to get back to full guard.
Eremeev passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ryan!

Ryan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Eremeev working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Ryan looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Eremeev! Submission of the night perhaps?

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Andrey Eremeev!
A relieved looking Andrey Eremeev thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
