Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adis Tankov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDonald is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I Stand Alone. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tankov but Tankov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tankov throws a half hearted mid kick.
McDonald is looking to clinch but Tankov is avoiding it.
McDonald tries for a takedown but Tankov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Tankov moves into the clinch.

McDonald unloads a knee to the mid-section. Tankov lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

McDonald escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tankov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and McDonald counters with a single leg into guard. Tankov didn't expect that.
Tankov is looking to stand up but McDonald isn't so interested in that idea.

and McDonald counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Tankov gets in close and instigates a clinch.
McDonald misses with a punch on the inside.
McDonald crunches a lovely knee into Tankov's ribcage.
Tankov lands an elbow just above McDonald 's eye.

Tankov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

McDonald tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tankov was well out of range. Poor timing from McDonald.

and Tankov counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. McDonald is lucky that one didn't land flush.

McDonald jumps guard and drags Tankov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Tankov stands and steps away. McDonald gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
