Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maxi Smut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Hendrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hendrix's choice of entrance music: Rage Against the Machine - Renegades of Funk. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrix fails with the takedown
and Smut counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Maxi Smut has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Hendrix.

Hendrix closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Smut is looking to escape.
Smut trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Hendrix is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Smut is just riding it out for now. Hendrix eventually gives up the hold.
