Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyndon Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deano Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deano Ripper will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Deano Ripper!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ripper clinches up against the cage.

Ripper is trying to push Ruiz away but Ruiz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Ruiz looking to throw knees to the head but Ripper is blocking nicely.
Ruiz misses with a hook to the ribs.
Ruiz is trying to pull guard but Ripper has him pressed against the cage.
Ruiz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ripper just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ruiz tries a body shot but Ripper blocks it.
Ruiz tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ruiz misses with a knee strike.
Ripper blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Ripper is trying to push Ruiz away but Ruiz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Ruiz is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Ruiz has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ripper is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Ripper comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Ruiz dodges an elbow strike from Ripper.
Ruiz tries a body shot but Ripper blocks it.
Ruiz swings wildly with an uppercut but Ripper uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ruiz throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ripper blocks it with crossed arms.
Ripper tries to break free but Ruiz pushes him back against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ruiz with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Ripper lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ruiz backwards.
Good body shot from Ripper.

Ripper wants to get back to striking at distance but Ruiz won't allow it.

Ruiz has Ripper pressed against the cage, preventing Ripper from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Ripper digs a right hand into Ruiz's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ruiz's gas tank.

Ripper tries to break free but Ruiz pushes him back against the cage.
Ripper is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Ruiz keeps control of Ripper as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Ruiz wants to stall.
Ruiz throws a knee to the head but misses.
Ripper wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ripper has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Ruiz throws a knee to the head but misses.

Ripper drops Ruiz onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Ruiz is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ruiz throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ripper blocks it with crossed arms.
Ruiz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ripper smiles and moves away.
Deano Ripper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ripper fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ruiz.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Ripper knocks Ruiz out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Deano Ripper!
