Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sean Heir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Chat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heir kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is DMX - X Gon' Give It To Ya. El Chat has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean Heir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, El Chat!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chat is looking to chop away at Heir's legs.
Heir really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Chat misses with a wild combination.
Heir drops down looking for a counter takedown but Chat sprawls and moves away.

Heir scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Heir cracks Chat with a big elbow.
Chat is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Heir asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Chat is trying to escape the position but Heir is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heir has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Heir seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chat for as long as he can get away with.
Chat is looking to reverse the position.

Chat is letting Heir control him for a moment.
Heir continues to stall.
Chat manages to work his way to half guard, despite Heir's best efforts.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chat wants to hold on but Heir pushes him away.
Heir blocks Chat's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Chat is trying to escape the mount.
Heir lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Chat tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Chat squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean Heir dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Heir manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Chat on his heels. He'll look to pass Chat's guard now, I'm sure.
Heir distracts Chat with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Heir lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Heir is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Heir has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Chat controls Heir momentarily but Heir frees himself.

Chat bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Heir's guard.

Chat wants to get up but he can't break Heir's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Heir tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Heir will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Chat looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Chat trying to control but Heir is working from the bottom.

Heir pulls Chat in close to prevent any damage.
Heir knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chat on the ground.

Heir wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Chat in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Chat misses with a body kick.
Heir shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Chat counters with a one-two to the body.
Heir takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Chat drives through and clinches with Heir against the cage.

Heir gets control of Chat's arms and successfully pulls guard. Heir will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Heir is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Chat trying to control the position from guard on top but Heir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Chat preventing the sweep.
Heir is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Still in half guard, Heir seems content to control.
Chat wants to control but Heir is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Heir controlling the pace.
Heir lands strikes from half guard.
Chat wants to control but Heir is keeping busy.
Heir looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Chat is looking for a sweep. Heir is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sean Heir will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Heir dives in and grabs Chat's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chat pushes down on Heir's head and hops out.
Heir has a takedown stuffed.

Chat tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Heir avoids it.

Heir drags the fight down to the ground.
Heir has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Chat has passed into side control.

Heir is looking to regain half guard here but Chat keeps moving and retains side control.
Chat wants to stand but Heir has his arm trapped.

Chat is looking to take a break and control but Heir is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Chat tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Heir is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Heir tries to improve position but can't.
Chat tries to score with some ground and pound. Heir controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chat working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Heir tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chat wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Heir tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Chat presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Chat sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Heir is squirming around, avoiding Chat's attempts to control the action.
Chat tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Chat lands a big shot there that rocks Heir but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Heir in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Heir tries to reverse the position but Chat maintains control.
Heir bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Heir not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

El Chat has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sean Heir is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Heir is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

And that's the end of the fight!
El Chat comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Heir has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
