Sanchez's entrance music is Where is My Mind? by Pixies. A fine choice. Vilson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Haiti Voodoo Music. Junior Vilson has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Vilson as Sanchez shoots in.
Sanchez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vilson is fending him off so far but Sanchez persists. Nope, Vilson circles away and we're back to standing.
Vilson misses with a series of wild punches.
Sanchez moves out of range of the strikes.

Sanchez tries to keep at a distance but Vilson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sanchez jumps guard but Vilson turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vilson lands a nice uppercut.
Sanchez tries to pull guard but Vilson won't allow it.

Sanchez dives in for a single leg takedown but Vilson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.

Sanchez takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Vilson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Oh Sanchez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
and Vilson counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Sanchez! He's just covering up as Vilson starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Junior Vilson!
A relieved looking Junior Vilson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
