Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juha Hirvi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Griffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Juha Hirvi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lee Griffy!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffy takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Griffy drops his hands momentarily and Hirvi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Griffy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hirvi.

Hirvi instigates a clinch.
Griffy tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hirvi just stands there and leans against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Hirvi.
Griffy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Griffy blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A head punch on the inside from Hirvi fails to land.
Griffy is looking for a takedown.
Juha Hirvi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Griffy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hirvi wants to improve his position but instead Griffy has moved into half guard.
Griffy wants to take a breather but Hirvi is having none of it.
Griffy slows the pace down in half guard.
Hirvi keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Hirvi is refusing to be controlled, as Griffy sits in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Griffy seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hirvi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Griffy manages to avoid it.
A telegraphed right hand from Griffy misses the target.

and Griffy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hirvi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Griffy can do to turn this around?

and Hirvi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Griffy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Oh Hirvi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hirvi seems to have got his legs back now.

Griffy throws a right hand that Hirvi ducks under and follows up with a left that Hirvi also avoids with ease.
Hirvi throws a lazy right hand but Griffy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Griffy moves out of range of the strikes.
Hirvi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Griffy! But no joy.

Hirvi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
