Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deshawn Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gizmo Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Deshawn Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gizmo Williams!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Shaw looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Shaw fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Williams scores with a takedown into Shaw's guard.
Williams seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Williams wanted to stand there but Shaw had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaw on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shaw tries to get out of the position.

Williams drops back looking for a leg! Shaw is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shaw manages to kick Williams off! Williams jumps back into Shaw's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Williams is nestled in close to Shaw, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Shaw really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Williams takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Williams shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Williams showed some decent athleticism there.
Shaw wants to stand back up but Williams manages to pass into side control.
Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shaw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Williams happy to just control the position for now.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Williams. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Williams decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Williams just misses with a punch to the body.
Williams blocks a head kick by Shaw.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shaw enables Williams to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shaw manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Williams drops back looking for a leg! Shaw is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shaw manages to kick Williams off! Williams jumps back into Shaw's guard.
Shaw will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Shaw doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Gizmo Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Let's hope that Williams has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Shaw tries to kick Williams off but Williams keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Williams slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Shaw has a closed guard, preventing Williams from standing up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Shaw throws a combination. Williams tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Williams is looking to land body kicks.
Williams throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Deshawn Shaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shaw gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Shaw wants to get back to his feet but Williams is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Williams is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
