Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paul Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ein Stein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Newman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ein Stein!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Newman bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Stein tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Newman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Paul Newman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Paul Newman has been cut.
Newman shoots for a takedown but Stein saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Newman feints and then cracks Stein's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stein down.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stein accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ein Stein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Stein tries to move into range but Newman moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Stein on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Newman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Stein lands with an uppercut that bounces Newman off the cage and back into range.

and Stein counters with a body kick that stops Newman in his tracks momentarily.

Oh Newman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Stein swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Newman seems to have got his legs back now.
Newman connects with a solid leg kick.
Stein connects with a good right hand that stumbles Newman. Newman circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Stein drives through and clinches with Newman against the cage.
Newman misses with the head strike.
Stein jumps guard but Newman turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Stein has hold of Newman's hands but Newman slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Stein had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Newman defends it easily.
Newman wants to control from the top but Stein keeps moving.

Stein is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Newman throws a big right hand that misses.
Stein keeping moving, preventing Newman from controlling successfully.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Stein has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Newman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ein Stein is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stein is on top in guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Stein not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

I would just about give that final round to Ein Stein.
Well Stein has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble Ein Stein misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
