Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renato Townsend (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustav Hansson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansson swats away the attempt to clinch by Townsend.
Hansson tries to bum rush Townsend with a series of wild strikes but Townsend uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hansson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Hansson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Townsend pushes Hansson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hansson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Hansson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Hansson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Townsend on the side of the head.

Townsend takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Townsend has momentary wrist control but Hansson slips an elbow through the middle.
Hansson stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Townsend has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Hansson manages to get his head free but now Townsend has transitioned to an armbar! Hansson grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Townsend! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
