Beddoe kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Stranglehold/ Ted Nugent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Canuel closes the distance and clinches.
Beddoe is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
A nice left hand lands by Canuel.
Canuel's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Beddoe has a couple of punches blocked by Canuel.
Beddoe wants to get back to striking at distance but Canuel won't allow it.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Canuel obliges.
Beddoe misses with a punch on the inside.
Canuel will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Beddoe up against the cage.
Beddoe swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Beddoe blocks a punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Canuel throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Beddoe blocks it with crossed arms.
Beddoe wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Beddoe creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Canuel tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Canuel is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Beddoe tries to throw a body punch but Canuel avoids it by throwing Beddoe back against the cage.

Canuel lands a knee to the head.
Canuel misses with the head strike.

Beddoe turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Beddoe is looking to take a break and control but Canuel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Canuel is looking for a sweep.
Canuel manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Beddoe seems to be working for a kimura but Canuel defends the submission attempt.
Canuel wants to improve his position but Beddoe is controlling well.

Canuel lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Beddoe pushes a forearm under Canuel's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Canuel is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
