The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rowland moves into the clinch successfully.
Boyka is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Boyka is looking to control Rowland's arms but Rowland gets an underhook and turns him. Now Boyka has his back to the cage.
Boyka is trying to break the clinch but Rowland is controlling him.

Boyka has picked Rowland up - he's going for a ride! Boyka dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Rowland kicks off Boyka and gets to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Rowland counters with a good, hard body kick but Boyka shrugs it off.
Rowland throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Boyka tries to clinch there but Rowland circles away.
Boyka is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Boyka wants to clinch up but Rowland keeps it at a distance.
Boyka rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rowland moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Boyka closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rowland quickly recovers to half guard.
Rowland wants to stand back up but Boyka manages to pass into side control.
