Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Debrickashaw Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Vicky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandon Vicky will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Debrickashaw Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Vicky!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vicky tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Thomas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Thomas clinches with his opponent.

Thomas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Thomas has a takedown stuffed.
Vicky tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thomas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vicky is looking to clinch but Thomas is avoiding it.

Thomas darts in and clinches Vicky up against the cage.
Thomas is working for takedown but Vicky is calmly controlling the position for now.
Vicky prevents a takedown attempt there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thomas turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Thomas manages to end up in side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Thomas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Vicky dodges the ground and pound from Thomas.

Vicky is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Thomas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vicky pinned against the cage. Vicky gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Vicky drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Thomas defends it well.
Thomas shoots in but no luck this time.
Vicky is looking for the big counter here.

Thomas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vicky tries to avoid it but Thomas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vicky to the ground. Vicky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Thomas jumps guard and drags Vicky to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Thomas is on top in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Thomas throws a big right hand that misses.
Thomas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vicky can do to turn this around?

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vicky shoots for a double leg takedown but Thomas sprawls well. He's pushed Vicky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Thomas scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Thomas, right into the meat.
Thomas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vicky tries to avoid it but Thomas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vicky to the ground. Vicky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vicky lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Thomas dives in for a single leg takedown but Vicky sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Thomas is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Vicky to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Vicky shrugs it off.

Thomas is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Vicky can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Thomas misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Debrickashaw Thomas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
