Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa shoots in and gets a takedown into Panchenko's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Balboa wants to stand but Panchenko has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Balboa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Panchenko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Panchenko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Balboa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Balboa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Panchenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Balboa is nestled in close to Panchenko, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Adonis Balboa dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Panchenko sneaks out the side door and pushes Balboa away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

and Balboa counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Panchenko has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Balboa is on him like a limpet, forcing Panchenko back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Panchenko seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Panchenko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Balboa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Panchenko is tightening it up a little... Balboa has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Balboa reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Balboa taps out! Nice BJJ there by Panchenko!
