The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Garcia wants it to stay on the feet.

Garcia has managed to clinch.
Winkle tries for a takedown. No joy.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Winkle has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Garcia breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Garcia tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Winkle paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Winkle stands and throws Garcia's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Garcia pushes Winkle away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Winkle gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Winkle is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Garcia has escaped the position, nice work there.

Winkle tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Winkle has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
