The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown's coach down at Outer Heaven Dojo was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Brown's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Del Toro here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Del Toro dives in and grabs Brown's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brown pushes down on Del Toro's head and hops out.
The crowd cheers as Del Toro lands an impressive looking overhand right. Brown doesn't seem phased though.

It seemed like Brown was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Brown fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Del Toro sprawls well initially but Brown persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Brown got a little sloppy there for a moment and Del Toro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brown has managed to get both his arms back between Del Toro's legs - danger averted.

I would just about give that final round to Daniel Brown.
