kontra throws a head kick but Thomas moves out of range.

kontra clinches with his opponent.

kontra has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Thomas is trying to keep an underhook but kontra manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Thomas is trying to stand up here but kontra is controlling him well.
Thomas misses with some strikes from the bottom.
kontra is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thomas tries to get to full guard but kontra has control of the leg.
Thomas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
kontra wants to stand but Thomas has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

kontra wants to get up but he can't break Thomas's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Thomas pulls kontra in close to prevent any damage.
kontra looking to pass the guard.
