Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Scraps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Scraps has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Scraps!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Dixon!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon misses with an uppercut. Scraps saw that one coming.
Scraps uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dixon.
Scraps tries to clinch up but Dixon circles away and keeps his distance.
Scraps takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Dixon scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Scraps defending against the ground and pound.
Dixon works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Scraps tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Scraps is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dixon is just riding it out for now. Scraps eventually gives up the hold.

Scraps is looking to take a break and control but Dixon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A solid leg kick lands there for Scraps.
Horrible takedown by Dixon or perhaps it was just good defense by Scraps which made him look bad.
Dixon misses with a few strikes there.
Scraps moves in looking to clinch but Dixon pushes him off.

Scraps looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dixon!

Scraps is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Scraps shoots for a takedown but Dixon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Dixon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dixon lands in his opponent's guard.
Dixon tries to free his leg and advance position but Scraps is retaining full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dixon tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Dixon throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Scraps manages to pass to side control.

Scraps wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dixon, who protects the arm well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Scraps manages to capitalize on a mistake by Dixon to take his back!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Scraps not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dixon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Scraps pushes Dixon off and scrambles back to his feet.

Scraps shoots in and bounces Dixon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
