Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ueda Umanouke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ueda Umanouke!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimbo Slice!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice misses the jab.
Slice throws the kick towards the body but Umanouke avoids it.

Umanouke creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Slice sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Slice connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Umanouke's hands.
Slice fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Umanouke.
Slice throws a hook but Umanouke avoids it easily.
Umanouke changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Umanouke closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Slice to the mat! Slice manages to get full guard.
Slice wants to stand but Umanouke is controlling the position.

Slice is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Umanouke has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Umanouke is looking to take a break and control but Slice is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Umanouke has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Umanouke postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Slice lunges at Umanouke with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Umanouke's hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Slice jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Umanouke is looking to counter punch.
Slice tries a low kick but Umanouke avoids it.
Slice throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Umanouke uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Slice.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Umanouke takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

That was a close round but I would say that Ueda Umanouke will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Slice creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Slice lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Umanouke backwards.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
