Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donald Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis De Sa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luis De Sa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Richards gets tackled into the cage by De Sa. De Sa maintains the clinch.

Richards has De Sa pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Richards pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending De Sa tumbling to the mat - Richards dives into De Sa's guard.
Richards could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Richards missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Richards connects with a couple of short punches.
Richards has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

De Sa is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Richards thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Richards drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Richards jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

De Sa is looking to sweep but instead, Richards has passed into half guard.

Richards has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can De Sa defend it? Richards steps over the head and cranks it - De Sa is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Richards!
