Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Star Dust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter McBain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dust comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. McBain has chosen Harder Than You Think by Public Enemy as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Star Dust!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter McBain!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McBain doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dust seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
An inside leg kick from Dust misses.
Dust sizes up McBain with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Dust keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McBain throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
McBain lands a nice hook to Dust's body. Dust takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Dust's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McBain connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dust scrambles back to his feet.

The fighters are working up against the cage. McBain manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

It looked like Dust was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from McBain.

McBain lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
McBain tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dust paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dust swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
McBain uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dust.

Dust has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McBain finds it's way round the side to connect with Dust's head.

McBain scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dust doesn't seem bothered though.
McBain throws a half hearted mid kick.
McBain takes one on the chin but seems OK.

McBain connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Dust's hands.
Dust feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McBains jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Dust cracks McBain with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Dust scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
McBain throws a body punch but Dust moves out of range.
Peter McBain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dust lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McBain circles away quickly and effectively.

That was a close round but I would say that Star Dust will probably get the nod.

McBain does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Dust goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, McBain has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dust but great work by McBain.

I would just about give that final round to Peter McBain.
I think McBain has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
