Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Casey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Filips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Casey comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - I Won't Back Down. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Casey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Filips!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filips moves into the clinch.
Filips keeps control of Casey as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Casey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Filips forces Casey back against the cage and clinches.
Filips leaning his opponent against the cage.
Filips goes for a takedown attempt but Casey pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Filips displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Casey throws out the jab.
Filips is looking for the big counter here.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Filips scores with a shot to the side of Casey's head.
Casey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Filips has closed the distance and engaged Casey in a clinch.
Casey's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Filips manages to break the clinch.
A telegraphed right hand from Filips misses the target.
Filips rushes Casey and presses him up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Filips breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Filips misses with a two punch combination.
Casey throws a jab but it's blocked by Filips.
Filips throws out a counter right but Casey avoids it with no problem.
Joe Casey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Casey throws a good cross that connects.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Good exchange - Casey coming out on top.
It looks like Peter Filips has been cut.
Casey leaves Filips with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Casey misses with a straight right.
Filips moves in looking to clinch but Casey pushes him off.
Casey feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Filips sprawling to the canvas! Filips rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Casey finish him?!
Filips is rocked!
Casey flashes Filips a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Filips's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Filips crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Casey punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joe Casey!
Joe Casey decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
