Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wagner Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Selem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Selem!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia tries to land a leg kick but Selem saw it coming and moves away.
Selem avoids the body shot from Maia.
Selem keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Selem feints and as Maia raises his hands in defense, Selem changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Selem drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Selem jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Selem prevents Maia from getting back to his feet.

Maia can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Selem controls the pace.

Selem slips a nice elbow through Maia's hands, connecting with Maia's forehead.
Selem looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Maia with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Selem is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Maia shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Selem's guard.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Maia.
Maia scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Selem doesn't seem bothered though.
Selem gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Selem has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maia can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Maia shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Selem but Selem pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Maia throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Selem's waist but Selem gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Maia off to one side.

Selem shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Selem was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Selem goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Maia is on top in guard.
Maia wants to stand but Selem is controlling his posture from full guard.

Thiago Selem comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Selem has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
