The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parks shoots in but McQuinn avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Parks misses with a few strikes there.
McQuinn is looking for the big counter here.
McQuinn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
McQuinn loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Parks looking to control.
Parks pulls McQuinn in close to prevent any damage.
McQuinn slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Parks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McQuinn on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Parks has momentary wrist control but McQuinn slips an elbow through the middle.

McQuinn has hold of Parks's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Parks tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - McQuinn cranks the arm and Parks screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Parks, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
