Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bob Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eon Yaj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roberts comes to the cage accompanied by Moves Like Jagger. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yaj has taken the fight to the clinch.
Yaj lands a right hand.

Roberts trying to control the position but instead, Yaj has worked for underhooks and has pushed Roberts into the cage.

No joy there for Yaj, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Yaj's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Roberts connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Yaj scrambles back to his feet.

Roberts will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Roberts walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Yaj checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Bob Roberts is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Yaj misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Yaj looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

and Roberts counters with a straight right hand.
Yaj looks to land a left hand but Roberts moved out of range nicely.
Yaj throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Roberts tries a low kick but Yaj avoids it.

Roberts gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Yaj throws a hook but Roberts avoids it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Yaj. Roberts does a little dance to reset his feet.
Yaj keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Roberts uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Yaj.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Roberts slips a jab and a cross from Yaj.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Yaj takes the fight into the clinch.

Roberts is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yaj is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Roberts to the mat. Roberts regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Roberts pushes Yaj off and scrambles back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eon Yaj dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Good exchange - Yaj coming out on top.
Yaj tries to clinch but Roberts moves out of range.

Roberts takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Roberts gets caught napping as Yaj dives in and scores a takedown. Roberts manages to retain guard.

Roberts has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Yaj has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Yaj just misses with a elbow thrown towards Roberts's brow.
Yaj lands an elbow that stopped Roberts in his tracks for a moment.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Yaj.
Yaj gets through Roberts's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
