Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Krause (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Seery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krause's entrance music is Heart of a Champion. A fine choice. Seery has chosen An Irish Pub Song as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, James Krause!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Seery!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krause fails with the takedown
and Seery counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Seery lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Krause at a distance.
Seery ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Krause moves away.

Seery closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Krause jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Seery walks away with a smile on his face. Krause gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Krause shoots in for a double leg but Seery sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Krause. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Seery throws a body shot but no joy.
Krause feinted with a counter takedown.
Seery throws a body punch but Krause moves out of range.
Krause shoots in but no luck this time.
Krause walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like James Krause has been cut.
Krause takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Seery darts in trying to clinch

and Krause counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Seery!

Seery explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Some wild striking there from Seery.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Krause shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Seery but Seery pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Seery stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Seery thuds a left hand into Krause's body.
Krause gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Seery counters with a stiff right hand.

Krause is rocked!
Krause shoots for a takedown but Seery saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Seery appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Oh Krause is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Krause gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Seery gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Krause is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Seery! Patrick Seery retains his featherweight title!
An out of breath Patrick Seery thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, James Krause stepped up to the mic, saying 'I guess Ferris was the better man tonight. I hope we fight again soon. That title will be mine.'.
