Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clair Delacruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robinson Ahmad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Clair Delacruz has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Delacruz gets caught flat footed, as Ahmad shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Delacruz wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ahmad sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Delacruz wants to stand and escape but Ahmad is having none of it.
Ahmad stopping the sweep attempt from Delacruz.
Delacruz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ahmad sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Delacruz's guard.
Delacruz has hold of Ahmad 's hands but Ahmad slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ahmad has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Delacruz is looking to escape.
Ahmad looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Ahmad slips a nice elbow through Delacruz's hands, connecting with Delacruz's forehead.
Ahmad keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Delacruz is trying to stand back up but Ahmad is controlling him

Ahmad is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Delacruz wants to improve his position but Ahmad is controlling well.
Ahmad wants to stand up but Delacruz has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Ahmad landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Ahmad seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Ahmad lands strikes from half guard.
Ahmad perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Delacruz is trying to stand back up but Ahmad is controlling him

Ahmad is trying to work for a kimura but Delacruz is defending well.
Ahmad uses his free foot to push down on Delacruz's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Delacruz.

Ahmad stands up from mount. Strange move.

Ahmad pushes Delacruz up against the cage in a clinch.
Delacruz fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Delacruz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ahmad smiles and moves away.

Ahmad darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ahmad wants to work for an arm triangle but Delacruz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ahmad working over Delacruz with some ground and pound. Delacruz looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Ahmad is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Ahmad is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Delacruz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ahmad .
Delacruz pushes Ahmad off but Ahmad dives into side control.
Ahmad is chipping away with strikes.
Ahmad controls the position from side control.

Ahmad is working to tighten his grip on Delacruz's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Delacruz has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ahmad is really squeezing tight and eventually Delacruz passes out! Ahmad breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
