Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fox Mulder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brody Kavanagh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brody Kavanagh has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Fox Mulder's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brody Kavanagh!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mulder takes a body punch but keeps moving.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kavanagh seems to be looking for submissions.

Mulder is not content to let Kavanagh control the position.

Kavanagh is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mulder to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mulder shrugs it off.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kavanagh goes for an armbar but Mulder turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mulder.

Kavanagh is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Brody Kavanagh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kavanagh takes a swing at Mulder's ribcage but misses.
Mulder is looking to clinch but Kavanagh is avoiding it.

Kavanagh has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Mulder seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Kavanagh can turn it around.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fox Mulder.
I think Kavanagh has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Brody Kavanagh tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
