Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Silas Floyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Roshambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Silas Floyd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Roshambo!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roshambo moves into the clinch.

Roshambo has Floyd pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Roshambo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Floyd tumbling to the mat - Roshambo dives into Floyd's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Floyd is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Floyd is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Roshambo has managed to free his arm - good work.
Roshambo is trying to maintain the position but Floyd is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Roshambo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Floyd is working away from the top position though.

Floyd decides to return to a standing position.

Roshambo moves into the clinch.
Roshambo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Roshambo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Floyd appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Roshambo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Floyd gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Roshambo regains guard.
Floyd chips away with some ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Floyd accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Floyd has gone for a leg lock! Roshambo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Floyd's guard.

Floyd shoots in and drives through. Roshambo sprawls well.

Floyd shoots in for a takedown but Roshambo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Roshambo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Floyd sprawls well initially but Roshambo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Floyd is doing well to control the position and prevent Roshambo from advancing to side control.
Floyd wants to improve his position but Roshambo is controlling well.

Jeff Roshambo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Floyd wants the takedown. Roshambo is fighting it off but Floyd persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Roshambo's guard against the cage.
Floyd wants to stand and escape but instead Roshambo has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Floyd is on top in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Roshambo can do anything to dispel that myth.
