Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kantemirov with a lazy takedown attempt
and Zal counters with a nice body shot.
Zal throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kantemirov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kantemirov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Zal counter with a right hand.

Nick Zal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kantemir Kantemirov.
Zal throws a series of punches but Kantemirov moves out of range.
Kantemirov walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kantemirov shoots in looking for a takedown. Zal tries to sprawl out of it but Kantemirov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Zal lands a hook that snaps the head of Kantemirov backwards.

Zal is pressed up against the cage. Kantemirov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Zal down to the mat. Zal avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kantemirov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Zal defends well and Kantemirov ends up having to push Zal into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Kantemirov tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Zal connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Kantemirov! He's out on his feet! Zal rushes in and drops Kantemirov with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
