Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ahmad Daniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ahmad Daniel has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ahmad Daniel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Greg Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson thumps Daniel with a low kick.
Anderson works the jab nicely.
Daniel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Anderson steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Daniel.
Anderson looks to land a combination but Daniel avoids it well.

Anderson drives through and clinches with Daniel against the cage.

Anderson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Anderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Daniel enables Anderson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Daniel manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Anderson wanted to stand there but Daniel had control of the position.

Anderson has his foot on Daniel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Daniel works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Daniel is looking to stand up but Anderson won't let him.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Anderson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Daniel avoids it really well and circles away.
Greg Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Daniel lands with a shot to the body.

Anderson shoots in and bounces Daniel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Daniel wants to stand up but Anderson is controlling him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Daniel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Anderson manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ahmad Daniel will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Anderson has closed the distance and engaged Daniel in a clinch.
Daniel jumps guard but Anderson stands there with Daniel around his waist. Daniel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Anderson gets control of Daniel's arms and successfully pulls guard. Anderson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Anderson leaves Daniel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Daniel shoots for a takedown but Anderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Anderson raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ahmad Daniel. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Anderson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Anderson darts in looking for a takedown but Daniel gets double underhooks and turns Anderson into the cage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ahmad Daniel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Daniel is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Anderson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Daniel scoring with strikes but Anderson is staying in there.
Daniel connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Daniel tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Anderson gets back to half guard.
Anderson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Daniel is working away from the top position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Daniel is controlling the pace.

Ahmad Daniel showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Daniel has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
