The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bader stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
An inside leg kick lands from Bader.
Bader lands with an overhand left.

It looks like Alberto Del Rio has been cut.

Del Rio clinches with his opponent.
Del Rio wants to break free but Bader has control.
Bader is trying to pull guard but Del Rio turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Bader tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bader tries to pull guard but Del Rio holds him up against the cage and eventually Bader drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vince Bader. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bader fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bader tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Del Rio smiles and moves away.
Bader thuds his right hand into Del Rio's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Del Rio takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bader enables Del Rio to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bader manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bader looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Del Rio is defending well. Bader quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Del Rio has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Bader celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
