Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Murray English (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Grietje (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murray English has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grietje looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
English works his way to full guard. Good work.
Grietje wants to control from the top but English keeps moving.
Grietje really doesn't want to stay on the ground with English. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
English seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
English has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Grietje must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
English wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grietje being controlled here momentarily.
English lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

English is standing up over Grietje. Grietje looks to escape but English dives into side control.
English slows the pace down.
Grietje trying his best to control but English has mounted him.
English really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
English controlling his opponent.

English gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
English blocks a head kick by Grietje.

Grietje shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

English manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Grietje has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics English uses from the top position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

English drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and English jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grietje has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but English has passed into side control.
English will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Grietje tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

English prevents Grietje from getting the reversal.

Grietje has left one of his arms exposed and English doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Grietje screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
