PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andy Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hyun Suk Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Andy Wang has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Andy Wang seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hyun Suk Kim!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suk Kim misses with a head kick.
Suk Kim throws out a leg kick but Wang moves out of range and Suk Kim only half commits.
Suk Kim throws a hook but Wang blocks it.
Wang misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Suk Kim misses with a wild body shot.
Suk Kim throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wang sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Suk Kim cracks Wang with an open hand slap.
Suk Kim throws a head kick but Wang moves out of range.
Suk Kim throws a nice looking combination but Wang bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Suk Kim throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Suk Kim tries to work over Wang's front leg with a kick but Wang checks it.
Suk Kim looks to score with a jab to the body but Wang is just out of range.

Wang closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Suk Kim to the mat! Suk Kim manages to get full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Suk Kim is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wang is controlling him.

Wang drops back looking for a leg! Suk Kim is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Suk Kim manages to kick Wang off! Wang jumps back into Suk Kim's guard.
Suk Kim controls Wang momentarily but Wang frees himself.

Suk Kim is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wang is controlling him.
Wang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Suk Kim swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wang's corner is telling him to maintain position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Suk Kim gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Suk Kim wants to stand up but Wang is controlling him.
Suk Kim looks gassed!
Wang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Suk Kim swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wang stops Suk Kim from standing up.
Wang trying to control but Suk Kim is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wang is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Suk Kim utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Wang sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Suk Kim's guard.
Wang is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Wang is trying for a kimura here. Suk Kim looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Wang wins by kimura!
