Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Luiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Palowakski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palowakski is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Burning Down the House. Fred Palowakski will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Luiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 37 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Palowakski!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Luiz has closed the distance and engaged Palowakski in a clinch.
Palowakski tries to score a body lock takedown but Luiz shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Luiz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Luiz cracks a nice hook into Palowakski's ribs.
Palowakski is looking to clinch.
Palowakski throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Palowakski takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
We've been told by Luiz's head coaches at Roosters Coop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Palowakski takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Palowakski tries to clinch up
and Luiz counters with a straight right hand.


Palowakski is rocked!
Palowakski throws a jab but it's blocked by Luiz.
A counter left hand to the body from Luiz misses its target.

Luiz rushes Palowakski and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Palowakski misses with a short punch on the inside.
Luiz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Luiz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Palowakski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Luiz but Luiz pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A little feinted left hand from Luiz on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Luiz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Palowakski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Luiz scores with a jab.
Luiz lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Palowakski is still on wobbly legs! Can Luiz finish him?
Palowakski takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Palowakski rushes Luiz and presses him up against the cage.
Palowakski will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Luiz up against the cage.

Luiz manages to break the clinch.
Palowakski tries to clinch but Luiz is having none of it.
Palowakski seems to have recovered his senses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Luiz lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Palowakski sprawling to the canvas. Luiz follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Palowakski hang on?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Luiz lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Palowakski! More strikes land and this one is all over! Luiz jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Luiz!
