PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Buster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Vlad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vlad leaves Buster with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Buster drives through and clinches with Vlad against the cage.
Vlad gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Buster.
Buster goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Vlad tries to circle away but Buster has him pinned against the cage.

Vlad escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Buster could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Vlad enables Buster to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vlad manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Vlad has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Buster can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Vlad throws a combination. Buster tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Vlad tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Buster paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vlad takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Buster changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vlad looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Buster decides to stand back up. Buster steps back and let's Vlad get back to his feet.
