Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ahmad Daniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Luchtpijp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Luchtpijp changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Luchtpijp gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Daniel scores with a hook to the body. Luchtpijp takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Luchtpijp misses the shot to the body.
Daniel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Luchtpijp's waist but Luchtpijp gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Daniel off to one side.
Luchtpijp tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No joy there for Luchtpijp, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Daniel shoots and misses
and Luchtpijp counters with a nice double leg into side control. Daniel won't be happy with that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ahmad Daniel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Luchtpijp has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Daniel is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Luchtpijp yanks on the arm and Daniel is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Luchtpijp.
