I think Mammoth might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I came to bring the pain. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mammoth fakes high and swings low for a body shot but American manages to avoid it.
Mammoth throws a hook but American avoids it easily.
American swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Mammoth circles away from the clinch attempt.
American tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mammoth swats him away and circles back towards the center.
American misses with a body shot
and American takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and American connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

American tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mammoth paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

American shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mammoth is trying to defend but American finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Mammoth swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
