Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Ondahl tries to bum rush Thomas with a series of wild strikes but Thomas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
We've been told by Thomas's head coaches at River's Edge Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Thomas clinches up against the cage.
Thomas misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Thomas landing knees to the head.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Thomas manages to break the clinch.
Ondahl misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thomas throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ondahl.
Derrick Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice body punch from Thomas.
Ondahl shoots in looking for a takedown but Thomas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ondahl's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Thomas delivers a nice body kick.

Ondahl misses with an uppercut. Thomas saw that one coming.
Derrick Thomas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Thomas tests Ondahl's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ondahl is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Thomas lands a nice looking body shot.
Thomas goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Ondahl loads up on a big right hand but Thomas slips the punch.
Thomas lands with a shot to the body.
Ondahl takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Thomas digs a good body shot into Ondahl's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ondahl shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Thomas, right into the meat.
Thomas connects with a crisp jab.
Thomas cracks Ondahl with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ondahl needs to keep his hands up - Thomas had a free shot at his head there.
Ondahl walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ondahl is rocked!
Thomas throws an off balance right hand
and Ondahl counters with a three punch combo that has Thomas backing up. Thomas nods at Ondahl to acknowledge the strikes.
That kick from Thomas tenderised Ondahl's leg. Ondahl is trying to keep his angry face on.
Thomas cracks Ondahl with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ondahl looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Thomas finish him?
Ondahl is still on wobbly legs! Can Thomas finish him?
Ondahl takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Thomas sends Ondahl crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Thomas is motioning to the referee to let Ondahl up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Thomas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ondahl.
Thomas is looking to clinch.
Ondahl seems to have recovered his senses.
Ondahl circles away from the clinch attempt
and Ondahl counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ondahl takes one to the chin there.
Thomas fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ondahl looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ondahl lands with a slapping head kick.
Thomas blocks a head kick by Ondahl.

Donk. Thomas catches Ondahl right on the button with a cross.
Ondahl takes a jab right on the kisser.
Thomas drops Ondahl with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ondahl looks back up at him and smiles so Thomas waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Thomas gets a clinch.
Thomas avoids the elbow strike from Ondahl, against the cage.
Thomas lands an uppercut.
Ondahl has Thomas pressed against the cage, preventing Thomas from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Ondahl looks to throw an elbow but misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thomas drops Ondahl with a big knee straight up the middle! Ondahl is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Thomas is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Thomas throws a monster overhand right that drops Ondahl! Thomas follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Derrick Thomas!
After winning the bout, Derrick Thomas thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
