Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colton Parrish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alen Dabic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Colton Parrish had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Colton Parrish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alen Dabic!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parrish looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Dabic wants to get back to his feet.
Parrish not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Parrish is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dabic is just riding it out for now. Parrish eventually gives up the hold.

Parrish could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dabic tries to roll over but Parrish keeps him under control.

Parrish seems to be working for a kimura but Dabic defends the submission attempt.

Parrish has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dabic is doing well to control the position and prevent Parrish from advancing to side control.

Parrish is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dabic doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Parrish.

Parrish takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Parrish is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dabic defends it well.
Parrish takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Parrish is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dabic is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Parrish is working Dabic over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Dabic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Parrish doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Parrish manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Parrish drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dabic dives on top into guard.

Dabic tries to stand but Parrish is controlling from the bottom.

Horrible takedown attempt by Dabic or perhaps it was just good defense by Parrish, which made it look bad.
Parrish darts in looking for a takedown but Dabic gets double underhooks and turns Parrish into the cage.

Dabic moves into range and clinches up with Parrish.

Parrish breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dabic closes this distance looking for a takedown but Parrish circles away.

Parrish tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dabic sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Parrish somewhat.

Parrish shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dabic manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Dabic has his takedown stuffed

and Parrish counters by clinching up.

Alen Dabic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

As Dabic tries to get set, Parrish tries to push him back and clinch up but Dabic manages to avoid the attempt.
Dabic shoots for a double leg takedown but Parrish sprawls well. He's pushed Dabic's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Alen Dabic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Colton Parrish is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Parrish feints and as Dabic raises his hands in defense, Parrish changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dabic has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Parrish off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Alen Dabic comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Parrish has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
