Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Vos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mateus Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vos comes to the cage accompanied by Three Little Birds. Gracie has chosen Broke & Hungry as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie keeps Vos at a distance using the push kick.
Vos misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gracie.

Gracie throws a front kick aimed at Vos's knee but Vos avoids it well.
As Gracie looks to move away, Vos throws a big counter combo but Gracie just gets out of the way.

Gracie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gracie throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Vos manages to get to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Gracie working his ground and pound in the gym.
Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Vos has wrist control.

Vos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vos has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.

Vos has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Gracie.
Vos slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Gracie has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Gracie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vos manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
