The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daddy throws a series of punches but Richards avoids them all with ease.

Richards moves into the clinch.

Richards manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Richards wants the takedown. Daddy is fighting it off but Richards persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Daddy's guard against the cage.

Daddy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Richards defends it easily.

Richards drops back looking for a leg! Daddy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Daddy manages to kick Richards off! Richards jumps back into Daddy's guard.

Daddy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Richards can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Richards lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Daddy down.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
