The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shield stuffs the takedown.
Cromoljenko closes the distance and clinches up with Shield, looking for a takedown. Cromoljenko pushes Shield against the cage but Shield circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cromoljenko shoots in for a double leg but Shield sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
