The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamland shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tamland is working for a kimura but Sann is defending it quite comfortably.
Sann is defending against the submission attempts here by Tamland.
Sann is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tamland is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sann is just riding it out for now. Tamland eventually gives up the hold.
Sann has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Los Angeles. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Tamland looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Tamland is trying to work for a kimura but Sann is defending well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tamland is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sann doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tamland.
Tamland has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Sann defend it? Tamland steps over the head and cranks it - Sann is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Tamland!
