Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Pouncey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monsun Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kelvin Pouncey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Monsun Moon!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pouncey wants the takedown. Moon is fighting it off but Pouncey persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Moon's guard against the cage.
Moon seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Moon throws an elbow that misses. Pouncey uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Moon's guard. Nice move by Pouncey!

Moon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Pouncey is looking for a sweep. Moon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That was a close round but I would say that Kelvin Pouncey will probably get the nod.

Moon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Pouncey connects with an inside leg kick.
Pouncey paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Pouncey.

and Moon counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Monsun Moon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pouncey lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Moon has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Moon and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Pouncey walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Moon checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A little jabbing left from Moon on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Pouncey makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pouncey.

Moon is working Pouncey over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Moon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kelvin Pouncey will probably get the nod.

A looping hook to the body misses from Pouncey. Moon does a little dance to reset his feet.
A nice side step and Moon releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Moon shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Pouncey clobbers Moon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Nice uppercut lands for Pouncey. That snapped Moon's head back.

Pouncey will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Monsun Moon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Moon swings around for an armbar but Pouncey sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Moon's guard.
Moon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Moon is on top in guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Moon looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pouncey has picked Moon up and slammed him! Moon can't keep hold of the triangle and Pouncey manages to pass to side control!

And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pouncey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
