And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Major!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Major lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Zimmer backs up against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Major moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Major connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Major lands a left and a right that send Zimmer crashing to the mat, dazed. Major thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Major feints and as Zimmer raises his hands in defense, Major changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Zimmer wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Major manages to pass to side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

You get the feeling that Zimmer really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Zimmer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Zimmer's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The adventures of Major the control monster continue. Boring.
Major trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Major might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Zimmer haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Zimmer really wants to buck Major off and get back to his feet.

Jack Major is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Major tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Zimmer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Well Major has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
